I will start out by kissing some ass. I love me some Heavy Seas. They are always malty and hoppy in a very subtle way. However, a Belgian style is unusual for them. Since their bread and butter is American styles and mostly the same yeast. This is their attempt to make the hoppy Belgian style beer. It is a good attempt, overall it fits the bill of a refreshing summer Belgian style. The hops are well chosen and the bitterness is well placed. However, the beer is nothing special. It is not bad; just almost not worth mentioning.
However, this will not dissuade me from trying more of their beer. They are still in my upper echelons.
