In the imaginary world of dreams and wonder, as least as far as beer goes, there are few greater possible marriages than Dudeletter favorites Left Hand Brewery and Terrapin Brewery. In what has become a series of collabrewations, Terrapin’s Peaotch was interesting. As a southerner in the peach state, I have very high opinions of peaches. They are everywhere, cheap and of high quality. This being said, I have low regard, therefore, for fake peach flavor. This was my initial concern; A big mouthful of peach-like candy food product. However, I was surprised. The beer was light and refreshing. The peach tasted real, if not overwhelmingly so. The complete beer experience was genuinely good. While I continue to dislike fruit beers, it is impressive to see one so expertly done.
